📘 Guía de uso — OC Wall-to-Wall

Conteo wall-to-wall de Oliver Cabell · NYC1 · Viernes 23 al domingo 25 de octubre de 2026

3. Abrir y conectar

  1. Entra a providence.gobolt.com con tu usuario.
  2. Haz clic en el marcador. Se abre el panel a la derecha.

9. Rutina diaria (viernes a domingo)

📘 User guide — OC Wall-to-Wall

Oliver Cabell wall-to-wall count · NYC1 · Friday Oct 23 – Sunday Oct 25, 2026

1. What it is

A panel that opens inside Providence and reads the same data Providence uses, in real time. It does two things:

It is read-only: it never changes anything in Providence. Counting is still done in Providence (Inventory Audit) as usual.

2. Install (once)

  1. Open the install page in Chrome.
  2. Show the bookmarks bar with Ctrl + Shift + B (Windows) or ⌘ + Shift + B (Mac).
  3. Drag the blue 👟 OC Wall-to-Wall button to the bar.

If you cannot drag: click "Copy bookmark code", create a new bookmark and paste the code into its URL field.

3. Open and connect

  1. Go to providence.gobolt.com and sign in.
  2. Click the bookmark. The panel opens on the right.
  3. If the red "To connect…" notice shows, do anything in Providence: open a location in Inventory Audit, scan, or switch screens. The notice clears by itself.

4. Before counting: the baseline

The baseline is the system inventory right before counting starts. Everything is measured against it.

  1. Confirm picking, inbound and returns are frozen.
  2. 📊 Summary → 📸 Take baseline.
  3. Wait: about 247 pages, 3–5 minutes. The black bar shows progress. Do not close the tab.
  4. When done you will see "Baseline ready".
Important: take it after operations are frozen and before the first count. If taken before the freeze, any later pick shows as a shortage. If taken after counting starts, adjustments already made won't show as variances. Don't retake it mid-count.

The start time is set to Friday Oct 23, 1:00 pm. If it changes, adjust it in ⚙️ Settings → Count start. Audits before that time are ignored.

5. During the count

The panel reads new audits every 3 minutes (or click 🔄 Refresh counts).

📊 Summary

🧾 Count & variances

ViewWhat forWhat to do
RecountLocations whose final quantity doesn't match the baseline.Export the CSV and give it to a different person (not the first counter) for a blind recount in Providence. Once recounted it turns "Recounted".
PendingOC locations nobody has counted yet, in walking order.Export the CSV and split aisles among the team. It should be zero by end of day.
Variance by SKUSKUs whose total doesn't add up.If a SKU is − in one location and + in another, it is misplaced, not lost. Check both locations.
All auditsEvery recorded count: before, after, who and when.To review a specific case or keep evidence (CSV).
👥 CoachingPer operator: confirms vs audits with variance, pace, and how many of their counts were corrected on recount. With alerts.Click 🎯 Verification sample every few hours: it takes 5% of each person's confirms for a blind recount. Coach anyone with red alerts before they keep counting.
Suggested recount flow: every 1–2 hours export Recount, filter "Pending", assign them to a different person, and once recounted click 🔄. If the difference remains after the recount, it's real.

The recount threshold starts at 1 unit. If there are too many, raise it in ⚙️ Settings (e.g. 2 or 3) to tackle the big ones first.

6. Aisles & zones (hidden inventory)

Use this tab to check areas that were physically emptied but maybe not in the system, as happened with returns.

  1. For the latest data, click 📦 Refresh (downloads current inventory without touching the baseline).
  2. The table lists Temporary zones first (R16, R19, R20, dock…), then NO LOCATION, Returns (R12–R15) and Picking (R01–R11).
  3. Watch "Oldest": yellow = over 60 days, red = over 120 days. Old stock in a temporary zone is almost always phantom inventory.
  4. Click an aisle → see its locations. Click a location → see SKU, quantity, bin/pallet and date.
  5. Go check physically. If it's not there, fix it in Providence with an audit (the panel changes nothing).

7. What each metric means

MetricCalculationWhen to look at it
ProgressOC locations counted ÷ OC locations in the baseline. To know if you'll finish on time.
IRA by locationCounted locations with no variance ÷ counted locations. The strictest: any location error counts.
SKU accuracy (net)SKUs whose sum of differences across the warehouse is 0 ÷ SKUs counted.Doesn't penalize stock that was just in another location.
Unit accuracy1 − units off ÷ system units in what was counted. How much of the volume is right.
Net differenceSum of all differences (+ overage, − shortage).Whether inventory is short or over in total.
MisplacedUnits missing from one location and found in another (same SKU).Putaway or picking errors, not loss.

A location's difference is the sum of all its audits since the start time, so a recount that fixes the first count brings it back to zero.

8. Sharing with someone else

  1. The other person installs the same bookmark from the install page. The panel uses their own Providence session.
  2. To measure against the same baseline: go to ⚙️ Settings → ⬇️ Export baseline and send them the .json file.
  3. They open the panel → ⚙️ Settings → ⬆️ Import baseline and pick the file.
If the other person takes their own baseline after 1 pm, it already includes the count adjustments and their numbers won't match yours. Always import the owner's baseline.

9. Daily routine (Friday – Sunday)

WhenAction
Friday, before 1 pmFreeze operations → 📸 Take baseline → export baseline to share.
Start of each shiftOpen the panel, 🔄 Refresh counts, export Pending and assign aisles.
Every 1–2 hoursReview Recount, assign recounts to a different person, check progress by aisle.
End of each dayExport All audits and Recount (evidence for the day). Note IRA, SKU accuracy and net difference.
When an area is emptiedAisles & zones → 📦 Refresh and confirm the system is empty too.
Sunday, at the endPending at zero, recounts resolved, export everything.

10. Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat to do
"To connect: do any action…"Click something in Providence that loads data (open a location). It connects on its own.
"Session expired"Reload Providence, sign in and reopen the bookmark.
Download stopped or is very slowClick Cancel and try again. Keep the tab visible.
Lots of variances that don't look realCheck the baseline time. If taken before the freeze, later picks show as shortages.
I opened the panel on another computer and it's emptyData is saved per browser. Import the exported baseline; counts are re-read automatically.
The bookmark does nothingMake sure you're on providence.gobolt.com and signed in. If it persists, reinstall it from the install page.

11. Send the inventory to Returns NYC1

Updates the returns-nyc1.pages.dev inventory straight from Providence, without downloading the Looker file.

  1. In the panel: 🗺️ Aisles & zones → 📤 Send to Returns (or ⚙️ Settings → Returns NYC1).
  2. Returns opens in another tab at Settings → Data. If it asks for your PIN, enter it: the transfer waits.
  3. If the panel's inventory is under 15 minutes old it is used as is; otherwise a new one is downloaded (3–5 min).
  4. Returns shows the usual preview with the notice "Inventory received from Providence". Check the numbers and click Publish inventory.
The whole inventory is always sent: Returns needs the returns area (where shoes come from) and the aisles (which bin they go to). Empty floor spots are kept from the previous inventory because Providence doesn't list empty locations.

If the browser blocks the window, allow pop-ups for providence.gobolt.com. If it still won't connect, use ⬇️ CSV for Returns and upload it by hand in Settings → Data.
